Being independent means making your own choices and having the freedom to do what you want when you want. That’s the true meaning of independence.
I think it’s so important to be independent. Being independent doesn’t mean not needing anyone. We all need people. We weren’t created to live in complete isolation.
Being independent isn’t just about being self-sufficient, it's also about living an organized life. Organization is an undervalued skill. If you can organize your life, it is very likely that you will achieve success.Â
Having your own apartment and a job or a business that makes money is the first step to being independent.Â
An apartment that is your own will help you have a sense of confidence and stability.Â
An independent person is more likely to have successful relationships. People are more likely to help you when they see that you are able to help yourself.
Organization and independence go hand in hand. Having your life organized gives you a sense of confidence that helps you succeed.Â
You can start by cleaning your room or by having your car cleaned. These small steps can create big changes.Â
Life is all about building positive momentum, and that starts with the small steps that we can sometimes overlook.
Sometimes we think creating change in our lives has to be hard and treacherous, but it doesn’t. It’s as simple as starting small.
Organization is about eliminating clutter. Have you taken the time to donate the clothes that you haven’t worn in months?Â
You could also spend time creating a to-do list or organizing your Google Drive. These micro habits can have profound effects on your life.
Life is about taking it one day at a time. Putting too much on your plate at one time will certainly lead you to burnout.
Instead, focus on what you can do moment by moment to create independence.Â
The simple things in life are what matter most.Â
Create a morning and a night routine that can help you make the most of your day. Schedule time each week that is completely dedicated to rest and has absolutely nothing to do with work.Â
For me, I’ve designated Sunday as Family Day. On Sundays, I’ll usually watch a movie with my dad on Netflix. Sometimes we go out to eat, or we’ll order takeout.Â
It’s simple, but it’s an easy way to bond. Everything doesn’t have to be about business and making money.
Independence is important because it helps you gain respect from your family, friends and the people in your community.
An independent person also understands that the goal is to be interdependent, independent in some ways and dependent in others.
Independence allows for personal choice, self-care and critical thinking.Â
Self-care is important because it allows us to set healthy boundaries. Without self-care, we cannot truly be independent.Â
Independence isn’t the same as hyper independence. Hyper independence is the inability to trust others to help you.Â
Independence is not feeling like we don’t need anyone. A hyper-independent person has become that way due to stressful life situations that have forced this person to fear trusting others.
Independence is healthy. Hyper independence is not. Learning to forgive others can help you reclaim your independence.Â
You might think you are behind or starting late but the truth is you are exactly where you are meant to be. God has a plan for your life and he doesn’t make mistakes.
If you’re feeling insecure you can trust that God has you perfectly in his hands.Â
Your life is not a mystery or an accident to God.
It’s time to reclaim your power. Stop letting people walk all over you. Step out on faith and live the life you’ve always wanted,Â
Work on your fitness. Summer bodies are created in the winter. Pamper yourself, use your time wisely and spend money on quality food,
Treat yourself as if you are worth it because you are, Stop settling for less.Â
Are you accepting breadcrumbs? If so, how long are you willing to accept less than your worth?
Set a standard for yourself. Go after the life you want and dream big. Don’t limit yourself and don't shrink yourself to fit in with people who you were never meant to fit in with.
Stand out. Take up space. Share your opinion and let your voice be heard.
Independence is all about reclaiming your power and remembering who you are because sometimes we forget.Â
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.
The world is waiting.
